Recording "Bear with Me" from the start till fruition took me about 2 months starting from Oct till Dec 2019. This song is dedicated to my environmental advocacy to raise awareness about climate change and its impact on wildlife and everyone. This song always get me emotional singing it. "Bear with Me" is inspired by a video by National Geographic in 2018 by photographer Paul Nicklen about a starving polar bear to communicate the urgency of climate change. I was particularly moved by this video and great sadness about the impact of climate change that is affecting everyone. The glacier collapsing at the start is to set the mood to the song. It was the same sinking feeling I felt when I first saw the glacier collapsing on TV. This idea of a climate change song was planted in my mind. However, it was only finally composed finished during my car ride to see my father in the hospital. The feeling of helplessness resonated with the current situation that we are in. Hope this song comforts you in times of helplessness. A big thank you to Vocal Coach Dee for guiding me during the recording of this song and also harmonising with me at the chorus.
"Bear with Me" was the number one song in 97.3 FM Blasts that Last in the month of March. I am so glad that there are people who resonate with the song making it my most popular original song. Also thank you to Anura from Spectrum Audio for producing this beautiful melancholic piano music to the song. I am grateful and fortunate to have very talented musicians who helped me along my music journey.
I have a secret wish that is to film the music video of my song Bear With Me in the Canadian Artic with a polar bear and hopefully there will still be ice around...
