Imagine in Paris

Imagine in Paris is a lyrical travel to transport us away from the mundane and to the place of our heart’s desire. Let us cast aside our routine weariness and magically fly to a city of imagination, hope and dream.

Looking back at what inspired me to write the song's lyrics. It originated from my yearning to travel overseas for holidays. Due to the pandemic, this has become difficult for many of us. Instead I explored my own country and as usual I was strolling in my favourite Botanic Garden in the evening and I spotted this beautiful tree next to a lamp post and I felt a European vibe to the environment. It reminded me the city of light Paris and I snapped a photo of it and posted about how I would like to compose a song about Paris. Then there was this American comedy drama Emily in Paris that is showing on Netflix around Oct in 2020 that I really like. I started to write my lyrics for the song and working on the melody. I told my music producers, Shannon and Dickson that I would like to explore a LoFi song this time around. That's how this amazing song came about with a combination of our efforts and ideas. I sang it with a Jazzy style and one of the best part is the moving harmonica tune that can bring me to the place I wanna be whether it's Paris or anywhere in this world, music can do the magic.
